IT Essentials: our base managed IT plan

IT Essentials is the base of our managed IT support packages, for companies with 100 to 2,000 people that want day-to-day IT handled by one team. It starts with a site assessment and an inventory of your hardware and software, then runs on proactive service, status reporting, best-practice operation, and automation. A virtual CIO, endpoint management, or project work can be added later.

Outcomes

What you get

  • Every system on record

Your hardware and software go into a site database, so you know what you have and what it runs.

  • Systems brought to a known state

We bring infrastructure and systems to a known state and install the applications, patches, and updates they're missing.

  • Status without chasing it

You see what we fixed and what's due, without having to ask.

Process

How it works

  1. Step 1: Assess the site

We review your infrastructure and network security policies, then inventory every device and application.

  2. Step 2: Agree on service terms

We document support procedures and the parameters of the service before work starts.

  3. Step 3: Bring systems up to standard

We install what's missing, apply outstanding updates, and put our monitoring agents on each device.

  4. Step 4: Run and report

We run the service and send you status reports.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the site assessment cover?

It covers your infrastructure, your network security policies, and an inventory of every device and application. The result is a site database of your hardware and software.

What isn't included?

Larger projects, like an office move or a server migration, can run as separate projects with an assigned project manager. Virtual CIO strategy work and security testing, such as a penetration test, are separate services.

Which parts of our IT do you take responsibility for?

Typically your applications, networks, databases, and hardware, plus any security and cloud services you add. The site assessment sets the exact list for your environment.

Do your engineers come on site?

Most fixes happen remotely, through the agents we install on your devices. When being on site is the faster fix, we come to you.

Is IT Essentials right if we already have IT staff?

If you have in-house IT, Co-Managed IT usually fits better: your staff keep their projects, and we handle tickets, after-hours coverage, and network monitoring.

Can we add services later?

Yes. Endpoint management, a virtual CIO, and project management add on to IT Essentials, and so do our cloud and security services.
